Sara Diamond grew up in the limitless expanse of Los Angeles. She currently resides in San Francisco and works at the intersection of art & tech. She graduated from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in Boston. Her art has been featured at many galleries and art spaces such as Google, Mountain View; Southern Exposure Gallery, San Francisco; the Harvey Milk Center for Photography, San Francisco; the David Brower Center, Berkeley; The Museum of Craft and Folk Art gift shop, San Francisco; and The Samson Gallery, Boston. Her work has been published in print and through e-publications such as SF WeeklyLA Record, Boston’s Dig MagazineWashington City Paper, and Feature Shoot.

Her artwork is an exploration of a “dream logic,” a constructed combination of the fantastic and the real. It contains an intrigue of something found in the crossover between dream states and hyperreality, a whimsical dichotomy between surrealism in the everyday and the constructed. By juxtaposing figures into different landscapes and spaces, and by using hand-made sets and props, as well as finding extraordinary but overlooked scenes, she aims to access the viewer’s unconscious. “Dream logic” examines the dialogue between self and otherness, real and unreal, and the natural and the unnatural.
