The Beaulieu blanket is named after a small village in the New Forest (UK), where you can find many perfect picnic spots.
Each blanket is light with a heavy feel, and soft enough to lay on or under. You can use it in the home, to cover up your old sofa, or maybe to cover yourself on a cold night. Or you can take it out with you on an adventure, it's completely up to you...
Measures 130x200 cm, 100% NZ wool, Jacquard woven in Lithuania.
Alternate colourway on reverse.
KJP is a brand by Katherine Jean Plumb.
It's my initials and it's what I love to do, organically grown through a love of print, pattern design and colour.
I began this project in 2018 after studying Textile Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, which is where I fell in love with the process of silkscreen printing.
Almost everything is printed by hand, by me in my Stockholm studio. I use organic, water based, non-toxic print pastes, and all textiles are organic and fair-trade. As this brand grows, it's important to me that we support and work with local EU factories and suppliers, who value sustainability, fair pay and equal working conditions - but building these relationships takes time, and that is why you may not see a large variety of products readily available at all times.
I'm excited to grow in the right way, even if it takes a little longer, and in the meantime - thank you for your support of a small, woman-owned business,
